About the role
* Interpret and apply relevant legislation, policies, procedures and agreements pertaining to the accounts receivable function, including patient eligibility, billing and Private Practice arrangements.
* Work autonomously and show initiative in solving problems within established guidelines with minimum supervision.
* Manage various types of invoicing.
* Follow up of outstanding accounts and maintain comprehensive accounts notes in relation to outstanding balances.
* Maintain databases, process forms, update information systems and follow up discrepancies in an accurate and timely manner.
* Identify opportunities for improvement and promote and follow through with quality initiatives within the team.
* Provide duties including answering all enquiries and providing accurate advice on matters relating to Revenue Office functions.
About you
* Experience in accounts receivable and cash handling.
* Demonstrated knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire sound knowledge of the provisions of relevant Policy, Procedures, Legislation or Directive, which relates to patient eligibility, billing and Private Practice arrangements.
* Demonstrated high standard of communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to consult and negotiate with patients, external agencies and a wide range of health personnel.
* Demonstrated ability to apply analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills and use sound judgment when liaising and negotiating with key stakeholders.
* Demonstrated organisational ability, together with the ability to operate with a high level of independence and resourcefulness.
* Demonstrated knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire sound knowledge in corporate information systems and experience using database and spreadsheeting programs.
What we offer
Total remuneration value of up to $8,382 p.m. is comprised of:
* An hourly rate between $39.98 - $44.46 p.h.
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
