About the Role
Mareeba Community Centre (MCC) is seeking a skilled and committed Intensive Family Support Case Worker to join our Family Programs team.
This role provides intensive case management and in-home practical support to families at risk of entering the child protection system. Using assertive outreach and sustained engagement, you will work alongside families to improve safety, wellbeing, and resilience.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct family assessments, risk assessments, and safety planning
* Develop and review case plans in collaboration with families and partner agencies
* Provide practical in-home and centre-based support (parenting, routines, daily living skills)
* Coordinate referrals and maintain strong service networks
* Maintain accurate and timely client records
* Participate in supervision, team meetings, and professional development
About You
You will bring:
* Qualifications in Human Services (tertiary qualifications desirable)
* Experience working with families, including Indigenous families
* Experience in family support, child and family services, or similar roles
* Working with Children Blue Card
* Unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence and reliable transport
* Ability to obtain First Aid and CPR
* Strong engagement, communication, and case management skills
