Education Business Services (EBS) is the key provider of professional business services and support for Western Australian public schools, statutory boards and divisions of the Department. The Role
The successful applicant oversees the development, support and maintenance of enterprise systems. This role requires expertise in systems development management, solution architecture, and technology service management. The successful applicant will lead the full software development life cycle for the enterprise applications, ensuring security, integrity and compliance with change management practices. A strong understanding of project management, problem management, and information security is essential to deliver robust solutions that support the Department’s operational and strategic priorities.
The Team Leader will contribute to the Department’s business outcomes by driving process improvement, preparing business cases, and managing resources effectively to align with organisational goals. This includes identifying and analysing system issues, implementing solutions, and providing informed recommendations to support planning and decision-making. The role will also involve engaging with internal and external stakeholders, building robust working relationships, and ensuring that enterprise systems continue to meet evolving business needs.
Effective communication, negotiation and team management skills are highly desirable as the successful applicant will lead and coordinate a team of enterprise systems specialists and contracted technical resources to ensure that service delivery meets the expected outcomes. In addition, they will be responsible for staff development, performance management, and monitoring leave entitlements in accordance with Department policies and awards.
