**About the role**
As the Lifeguard Supervisor you will support the Lifeguard Team Leader and Lifeguard Assistant Team Leader to perform administration tasks for the Safety and Supervision Business Unit.
The role offers 15.2 hours per week of administrative work with the opportunity to supplement with extra hours in direct service in either the Lifeguard, or Lifeguard Shift Supervisor roles.
Key responsibilities of this role include supporting the Lifeguard Team to:
- Provide leadership, supervision, advice and guidance to staff on operational or aquatic programs.
- Review Pool Lifeguard rosters
- Ensure staff are qualified to work and maintain qualification records
- Conduct staff inductions and training
- Support the daily running of pool operations
- Monitor and coordinate staff cleaning checks
- Create and maintain work instructions and procedures
**About you**
You are an excellent leader, are hardworking, and want to help create safe aquatic environment for staff, members and public.
You will be proactive, diligent and solutions oriented with exceptional decision-making and communication skills.
You will have the ability to work flexible hours including weekends, mornings, and evenings.
You possess significant experience gained from working as a Senior Pool Lifeguard and/or Duty Manager.
**Skills and Experience**
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle difficult customers and provide quality customer service
- Experience in staff training and roster management systems.
- Previous staff supervision experience with the ability to lead, train and motivate staff.
- Relevant qualifications and certifications including:
- Provide First Aid,
- Pool Lifeguard Award and CPR
- First aid Management of Anaphylaxis (or willing to obtain)
- Emergency Asthma Management (or willing to obtain)
