Swinburne's Trades and Engineering Technology Department is looking for a dedicated and experienced VET Teacher Plumbing to join our dynamic team. As a VET Teacher Plumbing at Swinburne, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education and training programs. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and reviewing vocational education and training programs, ensuring they reflect industry best practices and innovative learning methodologies. Your role will involve teaching and assessing units from our current Plumbing Training Packages (CPC32420, CPC40920), customising programs to meet the diverse needs of our learners, and collaborating with a team of education professionals.
**About You**
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Demonstrated ability to implement high quality innovative teaching and learning programs in a variety of learning modes, reflecting an understanding of successful approaches to Plumbing teaching
- Demonstrated ability to participate effectively in continuous improvement, and develop high quality teaching and assessment materials
- Demonstrated ability to foster and promote an inclusive, customised and safe learning environment and provide support and advice to a diverse range of students and clients
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, student mentoring and student experience.
- Current practical experience (currency) in Plumbing industry
**Qualifications**
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 (or higher equivalent)
- Qualified Plumber with significant experience
