CatholicCare is launching a brand‑new youth program in a Wagga Wagga, and we’re searching for enthusiastic, creative, heart‑driven Youth Workers to help shape it, grow it, and give back to the Community! We are offering permanent part-time positions based in brand-new therapeutic homes in Wagga Wagga for young people aged 12–18 living in Out of Home Care. You’ll participate in a 24/7 rotating roster (mornings, afternoons, nights, and sleepovers) with your schedule provided 2 weeks in advance. We are offering a minimum of 60 hours per fortnight with an option to pick up extra shifts! What You’ll Do: Be a trailblazer — help design and deliver an inspiring program for young people aged 12–17. Build relationships that matter, offering support, encouragement, and a safe space for youth to thrive. Bring fresh ideas and energy to help kickstart a vibrant, engaging local community. Work hands‑on with young people through activities, mentoring, workshops, and events. Ready to try new things, problem‑solve on the fly, and celebrate every win (big or small). What we are looking for: Cert III, IV or Diploma in Community Services or Youth Work. Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or trauma is highly valued and will help you succeed in this role. Strong understanding of trauma-informed care. Ability to build trust, maintain boundaries, and use behaviour support strategies. Excellent report writing and safeguarding practices. Hold a valid NSW Driver’s Licence comprehensively insured vehicle. Working With Children Check First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain) What's in it for you?
