$40.31 per hour (inclusive of casual loading)
This position is classified as a PACS Band 2 under the City of Kwinana’s structured remuneration system.

An opportunity exisits for a Moorditj Kulungar Playgroup Assistant (50D) to join the Library Services team at the City of Kwinana. Reporting to the Playleader/Aborignal Support Worker, this casual position is responsible for collaborating with the Playleader/Aboriginal Support Worker to provide the Moorditj Kulungar Playgroup with a culturally safe space to learn, grow and connect.
About You
To make an impact in this role, you will have:
* Ability to provide care for and engage with children.
* Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders.
* Understanding of Workplace Health and Safety, and ability to perform manual handling tasks safely.
* Possession of current Provide First Aid certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
* Possession of current Working with Children Check, current Drivers Licence, and National Police Clearance (less than 6 months old).
* Understanding of early childhood development, including health, safety, and nutritional needs (desirable).
* Awareness of National Principles for Child Safe Organisations (desirable).
* Previous experience working within an Aboriginal community (desirable).
