About the Role As a Disability Support Worker, you will be providing person-centred active support to people living with disability.
Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance.
We are currently looking to fill 2 permanent part time positions.

You must be available to fulfill all shifts in that line: Line 1 Week 1 Tuesday 3pm to 7pm Wednesday 3pm to 9pm Thursday 7am to 11am Saturday 7am to 4pm Sunday 7am to 5pm Week 2 Wednesday 7am to 11pm Thursday 4:30pm to 9am (sleepover) Friday 5pm to 10am (sleepover) Line 2 Week 1 Thursday 4:30pm to 9am (sleepover) Friday 5pm to 10am Week 2 Monday 7am to 11am Thursday 7am to 11am 1pm to 7pm Friday 7am to 2pm Sunday 2pm to 9pm * Please Note: It is important to understand that our clients' needs, and their support plans can change which also means that our roster lines may change and will be confirmed at the time of offer Key Responsibilities Get involved in feel-good activities at home and out in the community Full personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing and grooming Engage in watching weekly sporting events – big tick if you are an AFL fan
Support clients to make everyday spaces shine through domestic assistance Confidently support clients with complex needs, including physical and verbal behaviours of concern Follow behaviour management and mealtime management plans Encourage community participation which may include 1 on 1 support within the community Skills Experience Experience supporting behaviours of concern and/or complex needs Ability to drive a large van for client transportation An unrestricted New South Wales driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011 Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
