* 35 hour working week, in a hybrid working environment
About this role
The Senior Financial Accountant provides financial accounting advice and management in the development, implementation and maintenance of financial processes and systems. The role also manages and implements relevant accounting standards and ensures the accuracy and timeliness of monthly and early close and year-end statutory financial statements for the Councils. The role is responsible for providing direct support to the Principal, Financial Accounting.
Crown Clerk 9/10, salary from $129,464 – $142,665 plus Super and annual leave loading

About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals with:
* Relevant tertiary qualification and eligibility or near eligibility for membership of a recognised professional accounting body such as CPA Australia or Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand
* Demonstrated experience and understanding of financial accounting functions and application of accounting standards
* Experience in preparing month end and year-end financial statements, preferably in a multi-entity environment with cost allocations and in managing an outsourced service provider
