Overview
NSW, Broken Hill Regional Aquatic Centre – Broken Hill 2880. This role is for a Duty Manager who will coordinate day-to-day operations with a primary focus on safety and high-quality service delivery. The role includes leadership, coaching, and ensuring patrons enjoy a safe visit.
This is a great opportunity for qualified lifeguards who value water safety, enjoy working with people, and want to lead a team in a dynamic, customer-focused environment. The position offers mornings, evenings and weekend shifts with a good work/life balance.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate day-to-day facility operations with a focus on safety and service delivery.
* Lead and coach team members to ensure high-quality customer service and safety standards.
* Communicate effectively with patrons of diverse ages, abilities, cultures and needs.
* Maintain an energetic, dynamic, outgoing and collegial work environment.
* Work a minimum of 1 Lifeguard shift per week.
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes
* Strong leadership experience with the ability to inspire others.
* Excellent verbal communication skills.
* Understanding of OHS and public safety applications within a facility.
* Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends.
* Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate.
* National Police Check.
* Working with Vulnerable People.
* Current Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
* Current Pool Operations Certificate is essential.
Previous experience in a comparable role is not essential but highly regarded.
The Site
Broken Hill Regional Aquatic Centre is a multi-use aquatic facility supporting an engaged community. The venue includes an outdoor 50m pool, an indoor 25m pool, a hydrotherapy pool, outside children's wading pool and splash park, gym/health club and cafe. The Centre delivers learn-to-swim programs, aquatic and gym memberships, and works closely with local community groups.
