Maintenance Manager

About the Role:
As Maintenance Manager, you’ll ensure the availability and reliability of production and site equipment while driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role is critical to achieving our business plan, reducing downtime, and improving equipment performance. You’ll lead a team of skilled professionals, foster a culture of safety and accountability, and champion preventative maintenance strategies.
This key leadership role, with three direct reports and oversight of a broader team of eighteen, covers maintenance planning, scheduling, stores, and teams of fitters and electricians.

What You Will Do:
- Drive excellence in health and safety practices and compliance.
- Lead maintenance planning and scheduling to maximize equipment uptime.
- Manage preventative and condition‑based maintenance under TPM principles.
- Oversee site services, engineering stores, and inventory management.
- Control maintenance budgets and cost center spend.
- Develop and mentor your team, building technical capability and leadership skills.
- Collaborate with production and site management to resolve reliability issues.
- Contribute to site capital plans and support engineering projects.
Who You Are:
You will bring 5–10 years’ experience in a high-volume, 24/7 production environment, ideally within manufacturing. You also have:
- An engineering degree, such as Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Proven leadership experience in operational maintenance
- Strong capability in root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies
- Solid knowledge of OH&S; standards and compliance, including the management of high‑risk work permits
- A positive, resilient approach with the ability to lead through change
- Commercial acumen with experience managing budgets
- Experience managing site services and third‑party contractors
- Proficiency in SAP
- Desired: TPM experience, Six Sigma qualifications, control systems expertise, and experience leading unionized teams
