Commercial Solar Engineer (C&I Solar + Storage, 100kW+)

A growing solar + storage provider is hiring a Commercial Solar Engineer to provide technical oversight and consultation across 100kW+ C&I projects, with core work spanning shopping malls, schools, and warehouses. This is a high-trust role for someone who can sit in front of commercial decision makers, shape the solution early, and keep opportunities moving with clarity and confidence.
The remit is intentionally flexible — with a clear runway to step into a technical leadership / management position as the function scales.
What you'll be doing
* Lead technical consultation for C&I customers across solar and storage (100kW+).
* Provide front‐end engineering oversight: feasibility inputs, site constraints, solution direction, and risk/assumption setting.
* Partner with commercial stakeholders to ensure proposals are technically sound, deliverable, and aligned to customer outcomes.
* Translate complex trade‐offs into clear recommendations (without overcomplicating the conversation).
* Support the evolution of the function — with scope to take on broader ownership and manage as volume grows.
What we're looking for
* 5+ years in C&I solar engineering / technical solar roles (100kW+).
* Experience supporting and/or delivering commercial projects (you understand what it takes to move from proposal → reality).
* Strong technical judgement and the ability to communicate confidently with commercial customers.
* Exposure to Residential / Large‐scale Solar projects is also desirable.
