About the Opportunity
As the Senior Occupational Therapist, you will conduct assessments and provides interventions to help improve people's function and independence within the NDIS and Aged Care frameworks
This role is working in a Senior capacity to mentor and guide other Occupational Therapists. Ideally the person who is successful will move into a Team Leader role in the future.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Conducting evidence-based assessments and clinical management for people with cognitive, physical, or psycho-social disabilities, aligning with their NDIS goals.
* Recommending and prescribing Assistive Technology and home modifications funded by the NDIS and other agencies, including preparing funding applications.
* Managing clients with increasing complexity, multiple conditions, and functional limitations, providing tailored interventions and recommendations for daily living activities.
* Use a strengths-based, client-centred approach to help clients identify their goals and provide support to achieve and sustain those goals over time.
* Communicating with NDIS, external agencies, and support workers; write high-quality reports; participate in quality improvement projects; and ensure compliance with legislation, funding guidelines, and service standards.
Skills and Abilities:
* Valid Driver's License
* NDIS Worker Screening & Working with Children Check
* First Aid & CPR Qualifications
* NDIS Worker Orientation Module
* Tertiary Qualification & AHPRA Registration
