About the role
Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, the General Manager, Supply Chain Development is responsible for developing, leading and managing the Supply Chain Development Strategy nationally and internationally across Bunnings. The position works cross‐functionally to actively lead business transforming Supply Chain programs of work and will be responsible for the development of the strategy, business case development and execution of the programs of work to deliver on business case outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver an end‐to‐end Supply Chain strategy for Bunnings that combines the requirements of key stakeholders and delivers an optimal business outcome balancing safety, service and end‐to‐end cost.
- Obtain organisational commitment and alignment to network solutions that deliver optimal business outcomes.
- Strong leadership, assessing future Supply Chain requirements and the impact on Bunnings current Supply Chain and business strategies to ensure continuous alignment.
- Program delivery to plan and budget of complex network and infrastructure changes into operational ownership.
- Improve performance operationally through supporting and initiating improvement projects that are sustainable over time within the Supply Chain network.
- Developing and maintaining a high‐performance team to deliver Supply Chain solutions that meet the needs of the business.
Qualifications
- Industry recognised leader with demonstrated 10 years' experience in leadership of large scale and complex Supply Chain development programs.
- Extensive experience operating in a complex organisation leading major programs of work delivering transformational outcomes.
- Create and implement strategic initiatives and deep dive into detail as required.
- Demonstrated experience with implementing collect freight models with suppliers.
- Supply Chain transformation leadership experience within a major organisation, preferably retail or FMCG.
- Hold a tertiary education ideally within a Supply Chain, Engineering or Business discipline.
- Display excellent communication skills and can communicate to all levels across the organisation.
