About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher (appointed as Research Officer) to join our research team. This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative glaciogenic cloud seeding materials, focusing on material development by experimental fabrication and performance optimization by AI-driven modelling. You will work with Principal Investigator to deliver high-impact research, contribute to journal publications and collaborate with partners for successful outcomes, to achieve the academic and research mission of the Victoria University and the founding sponsor.
Position Key Duties
* Contribute to and conduct high-quality research and assist the Lead Chief Investigator (Principal Investigator) to achieve the research project milestones.
* Contribute to and publish findings in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
* Assist in the preparation of project progress reports.
* Actively participate in and where appropriate present research at national and international conferences.
* Collaborate with relevant industry partners, government bodies.
* Actively participate in school/institute committees or working groups.
Position Details
* Classification: Level A
* Salary: $79,258 - $107,553 per annum (pro rata)
* Employment Type: Part-time, Fixed-term position available until 28 February 2029
* Hours per Week: 31.2375 hours per week (0.85 FTE)
* Location: Werribee Campus

About You
* Knowledge and training equivalent to a PhD in a relevant discipline of Environmental Engineering, Nanotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering
* A demonstrated aptitude for independent and / or team research with a sound publication record in high-quality publications and/or successful grant outcomes commensurate with experience and relative to opportunity.
* High-level written and oral skills for reporting and presenting.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary project team.
