About the RoleThe Support Officer plays a vital role in assisting Red Cross Emergency Services during disaster response by addressing the immediate needs of affected communities. This dynamic role requires flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning within a rapid‐paced and ever‐evolving environment. In addition to response activities, the position may also contribute to initiatives focused on community preparedness, recovery, and resilience when available.
Key ResponsibilitiesThis casual role is best suited to a highly organised and adaptable individual who thrives in high‐pressure environments, is motivated to support disaster response, recovery, and resilience efforts, and is available to work irregular hours during Queensland disaster events, with no guarantee of ongoing work outside these periods.
About YouThis role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award – Level3. Hourly rate from $38.65 + casual loading + superannuation + access to salary packaging.
