Position Information
Glendore Public School is a vibrant and inclusive school located on Awabakal Land in the western foothills of Newcastle, proudly serving the growing communities of Fletcher and Maryland. With current enrolments of approximately 615 students, including 56 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students across 25 classes, we are part of the Wallsend Community of Schools and the Callaghan Education Pathway.
Our school embraces evidence informed teaching and maintains a strong focus on explicit instruction to drive student success. Staff engage in high impact professional learning and collaborate in professional learning communities to support continuous improvement in teaching and learning.

Selection Criteria
* Approval to teach K-6 with deep knowledge of and ability to implement evidence-informed pedagogy to improve student learning outcomes in literacy and numeracy.
* Experience drawing on student data and working collaboratively with families, colleagues, and external services to support diverse learners, including Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islander and EAL/D students, to achieve their potential.
* Demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive and responsive classroom where student engagement, wellbeing and belonging are prioritised.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a large, dynamic team and build strong partnerships with the school community to provide richopportunities for students within and beyond own classroom.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
