The Technology Chief Controls Office (TCCO) team is a Line 1 risk team responsible for ensuring new and changing initiatives are assessed and there are adequate risk mitigations in place. This role is within the Retail Technology team of TCCO and will work closely with the primary stakeholder of Modernisation Domains.

Retail Technology CCO is part of the CBA Technology CCO function, responsible for developing and implementing control capabilities that support and align to the exciting and ever evolving technology landscape.
CBA Retail Technology is responsible for delivering technology solutions that evolve and advance with the needs of our customers and ensure the resilience and reliability of those solutions.
Retail Technology CCO partners with Retail Technology Leads, business partners across the retail Bank, and L2 to deliver insights that enable effective decision making across the technology estate and provide safer environments for continued growth against strategic outcomes.
We are an outcome driven, principles guided team of professional risk managers who believe in supporting the goals and objectives of the Bank using pragmatism over process, removing hierarchies and focusing on the right information for the right people and the right time.
The position of Chapter Lead Modernisation, Retail Technology CCO will be responsible for the continuous evolution of the control environment aligned to Domain and platform strategic goals and the broader Technology CCO Objectives. The role will develop strong relationships with Technology Leaders, Retail Business CCO partners, and L2.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
* Lead the Modernisation Chapter to drive transformation, while uplifting risk maturity and embedding sustainable technology risk practices across delivery teams.
* Identify appropriate application and implementation of controls and control methodologies to support the business achieve better risk and compliance outcomes.
* Providing guidance and advice to senior leaders on their services and risk profiles to enable balanced decisioning that holds the customer outcome front and foremost.
* Lead a proactive and progressive risk and control culture, collaborating with stakeholders and aligning to strategic outcomes and objectives.
* Drive continuous improvements across the Technology CCO, our partners and business stakeholders to strengthen the end-to-end control environment, removing waste in process and increasing effectiveness and efficiency.
* Support decisioning on control improvement opportunities using data to focus and prioritise activities.
* Provide ongoing education to new and tech leaders and teams for current and changing risk and control practices as they evolve.
* Support the Retail Technology CCO team to achieve outcomes as required and support our CIO teams as needed.
We're interested in hearing from people who have:
* Sound knowledge of Technology and Technology risk, Operational and Compliance Risk frameworks.
* Extensive experience in banking/financial services/other non-financial services firms.
* Familiarity with APRA standards, applicable to Technology and Operational risk.
* A strong curiosity and capability in AI technologies and application.
* Hands-on experience in DevSecOps practices within delivery frameworks.
