The Senior Botanist will perform fieldwork and contribute to botanical surveys, plant identification, and vegetation mapping. The role also involves analyzing ecological data, preparing detailed biodiversity and vegetation assessments, and providing expert guidance on conservation and land management strategies. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with clients, mentoring team members, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.QualificationsStrong expertise in Botany, Plant Identification, and understanding of various vegetation communitiesExtensive experience conducting fieldwork and ecological surveys, with the ability to identify flora and assess biodiversity in diverse ecosystemsProficiency in Ecology and vegetation dynamics, including knowledge of conservation strategies and ecosystem connectivityExcellent analytical, research, and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret complex systems and legislationProficiency in mapping tools and innovative technologies such as GIS, drones, and 3D visualization is highly desirableStrong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients and team members effectivelyBachelor's or advanced degree in Botany, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related fieldFamiliarity with the Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) and Australian environmental regulations is a significant advantage
