The Company
Our client is a leading RTO that has been operating for 40 years as a not-for-profit organization, dedicated to providing migrants, asylum seekers, and refugees with opportunities. Their hands-on training and flexible learning approach enable individuals of all skill levels to participate in their programs and enter the workforce.
The Role
As the HR Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Executive Director and the Executive Team. Your responsibilities include managing employment policies and procedures, overseeing payroll, administering rewards and recognition programs, and leading workplace safety initiatives. Additionally, you will manage employee benefit programs, recruit, screen, and hire new candidates.
This is a full-time position based at their Coburg office.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage the recruitment and selection process for internal and external candidates.
2. Oversee the onboarding program to ensure it is effective and consistent across all sites.
3. Develop initiatives to support and enhance organizational values and culture.
4. Ensure staff compliance with company policies.
5. Provide regular reports to the General Manager and stakeholders.
6. Administer and communicate employee remuneration and benefits, including classification structures, salary packaging, and remuneration reviews.
The Successful Candidate
1. Minimum 3 years of practical HR experience, including payroll exposure.
2. Experience working in a training organization or similar setting (highly regarded).
3. Current knowledge of the NFP sector.
4. Ability to advise and coach managers on staffing and HR policies.
5. Experience working in multicultural environments with understanding and empathy towards migrants, refugees, and non-English speakers (highly regarded).
