Head Chef — Lead High-Volume Dining Operations

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our high-volume dining operations at a remote mine site.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage Kitchen Operations:
o Plan, coordinate, and execute menu development in accordance with nutritional standards and customer preferences.
o Maintain high food safety and quality control standards throughout the kitchen.
2. Lead Team Members:
o Foster a positive work environment by motivating and training kitchen staff to achieve their full potential.
o Develop strategies to improve team performance, productivity, and job satisfaction.
3. Develop Catering Services:
o Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges affecting the catering industry.
o Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to develop customized catering services that meet their specific needs and expectations.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in high-volume catering, preferably with a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
* Excellent Leadership Skills:
o The ability to motivate, inspire, and empower kitchen staff to achieve their goals and objectives.
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
* Food Safety Knowledge:
o A thorough understanding of food safety regulations, protocols, and best practices to ensure compliance and minimize risks.
