Project Coordinator Emerging Capabilities
We are seeking an experienced project manager with a technical, policy, legal or regulatory background to lead a small team responsible for supporting the planning and delivery of strategic deliverables, business as usual tasks and ad hoc activities.
This broad role is a key enabler for the success of the organisation and will require a proactive, collaborative, organised problem-solver with excellent communication and engagement skills.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Project management and coordination activities;
* Support for consultation and stakeholder engagement activities;
* General support, including with technical research and writing, and stepping in for other team members as required;
* Provision of broad subject matter expertise in emerging capabilities development, test and trial, operation, and regulation;
* Building and maintaining in-depth knowledge of emerging capabilities development and use in a defence context.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills, project management and coordination abilities, and a passion for emerging capabilities. They will also have excellent collaboration and communication skills, experience conducting consultation and stakeholder engagement activities, and the ability to create and convey analysis, advice and guidance to different audiences using different mediums.
About the Team
The team provides assurance that maritime mission systems comply with regulations outlined in the Defence Seaworthiness Management System.
The core functions of the team are:
* Promulgation and administration of regulations;
* Gathering and analysing safety and environment data;
* Monitoring and assessing compliance;
* Providing continual assurance;
* Engagement, education and communication with the regulated community and peer regulators;
* Delivery of internal business and enabling support.
The team is a unique workplace with a mix of APS and ADF personnel focused on nurturing a positive workplace culture and continuous improvement.
