Community Mental Health Clinician
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in delivering specialist mental health services to support the recovery and well-being of individuals in the community.
The Community Mental Health Service provides a range of services designed to help consumers stay well and recover from mental health issues. Our team works with young people, children and families, adults, and older people, providing specialist services including a Aboriginal Mental Health Team, bilingual mental health workers, and Peer Support Workers.
The role will be based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide assessment, treatment, and support to individuals experiencing acute mental health problems.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Mental health assessments to determine an appropriate pathway to care
* Short-term intensive treatment in the community
* In-reach to hospital to promote effective follow-up post-mental health admission
* Gatekeeping to develop opportunities for assessment and community treatment
Requirements
* Current NSW driver's licence (P1 and P2 acceptable)
* Recognised tertiary qualifications appropriate to profession
* Demonstrated competencies to provide contemporary mental health practice
