We're seeking an exceptional Executive Management AI Capability to shape the future of AI in Risk Management and drive innovation. You'll be part of a collaborative, forward‐thinking team committed to ethical AI, disruptive thinking, innovation, and continuous learning at scale.
Your Impact
* Lead a team of data scientists across Australia and India
o Recruitment, retention, coaching, and career development
o Planning, monitoring, and finalising model validation tooling and activities
o Ensuring quality and consistency in deliverables
o Occasional international travel may be required
* Drive strategic transformation
o Pioneer advancements in AI‐powered risk management by delivering state‐of‐the‐art AI capabilities.
o Develop and implement a unified portal encompassing all AI‐driven risk management tools, insights, and guidance.
o Provide standardised architecture, reusable AI solution components, and compliance‐as‐code frameworks for AI development within Risk Management.
o Champion the responsible adoption and utilisation of AI in Risk Management, ensuring alignment with all relevant policies and guidelines.
* Collaborate with key stakeholders
o Influence stakeholders on scalable AI Solutions by embedding development best practices
o BU/SU‐aligned data scientists, model owners, and monitors
o Centralised AI teams and acceleration stream leads
o Internal audit and governance bodies.

Leadership & Vision
* Proven experience in leading high‐performing multidisciplinary teams with Gen AI, data science, and software engineering skill sets. Experience in mentoring junior data scientists and leading technical initiatives.
* Agility and product driven mindset to own and drive multiple priorities.
* Enthusiastic about developing automation tools to drive continuous workflow improvements.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, including engagement with General Managers & Executive General Managers
* Exceptional communication skills and growth mindset.
Technical Excellence
* Proven hands‐on experience as a data scientist or machine learning engineer, with recent successful applications of Generative AI in a business context.
* Deep expertise in modern AI frameworks includes prompt engineering, RAG, guardrail design, agentic architectures.
* Proficiency with industry standard tools like LangChain/LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK and Semantic Kernel.
* Strong background in designing and implementing end‐to‐end ML workflow automation including custom tool development.
* Hands‐on experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
* Experience with LLM evaluation frameworks is desirable.
* Knowledge in traditional machine learning models including regression, random forest and xgboost is desirable.
* Knowledge of model risk governance and validation processes is desirable.
* Degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Actuarial Studies, or related field.
The ideal candidate will have expertise across multiple areas above, though we don't expect mastery in every technology listed.
