Lindsay Transport is now entering its seventh decade in operation and is the largest transporter of fresh produce in Australia. Lindsay Transport specialises in temperature sensitive, time-slotted freight into Central Markets and major Grocery Distribution Centres. We operate a network of freight terminals with significant coldroom facilities across the east coast of Australia and employ a staff of approximately 1500 workers.
Reliability is the cornerstone in transport and to ensure reliability we make sure our fleet is maintained to a high level. To help us achieve this goal we require a Nightshift Workshop Supervisor to join the maintenance team based in the Brisbane workshop. This is a 3pm start time.
**The primary duties of the role will include**:
- Supervising the repair, replace, maintain and testing of a high volume of company vehicles and related mechanical and electrical components
- Ensuring all the staff members in the workshop are completing work in a safe and efficient manner in line with company standards
- Supervise servicing of vehicles in line with company servicing schedule
- Accurate completion of all paperwork and systems associated with fleet maintenance and repair
- Supervise all Brisbane workshop staff on the floor with 80% floor based work and 20% office work
- Support breakdown phone calls
- Experience in transport (preferred)
- Trade qualifications
- Experience with Detriot, CAT and Cummins, Fuso, Daf and Thermo King
- Proven competence as a Workshop Supervisor
- MC Licence (not required, but preferred)
- Sound computer skills
