**The Opportunity**
We have an opportunity for a Manager, Biosecurity Policy and Governance to be part of our Biosecurity Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.
The primary purpose of the role is to lead the Biosecurity Policy and Governance team. The incumbent represents PIRSA in multiple external forums and forms strong relationships with industry and other relevant stakeholders including other government agencies and Ministers' Offices.
The role provides strategic oversight and leadership to the Policy and Governance team and provides high level strategic advice through leading the planning and development of a range of programs, and key policy to inform Biosecurity and PIRSA objectives. The role contributes to delivering robust and trustworthy governance and policy frameworks through which the Biosecurity Division's work is undertaken.

**Special Conditions**

**Requirements**:
- Possession of a current driver's license and willingness to drive.
- Out of hours work, inter / intrastate travel, and working from other PIRSA offices with South Australia may be required.
- Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
- The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.
- Participating in PIRSA's Performance Management and Development Program.

- Desirable: Degree in Science, Law or Public Policy or related field
**Remuneration**
ASO8 - $121,107 min - $125,679 max per annum, plus superannuation
