Job Summary
As a Geotechnical Engineer at Ernest Henry, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe operation and design of our Tailings Storage Facility. Your expertise in civil and geotechnical engineering will be invaluable in monitoring performance, reviewing designs, and supervising construction.
About the Role
* Key Responsibilities:
* Review day-to-day TSF surveillance: inspections, instrumentation reads and variance follow-up.
* Analyse stability and water balance data; turn findings into clear actions and reports.
* Review designs and method statements; support QA/QC through construction and raises.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company guidelines.
* Coordinate consultants and contractors to deliver best-practice outcomes.
* Plan and deliver small–large civils projects (e.g. roads, drains, buttresses, dams and site infrastructure).
* Lead safety initiatives: identify hazards, stop work when needed, investigate, and share learnings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
* Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and practices.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills.
