We work with a whole school approach towards improving numeracy and literacy levels amongst our students.Find out more about our school by visiting girrawheenshs.wa.edu.au or Schools Online .The RoleWe are seeking to appoint a motivated Secondary Generalist teacher with the ability to teach across learning areas including Science, Mathematics, Physical Education and Health Education, HASS and English. Ideally the applicant will have the ability teach classes from Year 7 to 10 and be willing to upskill to teach Foundation and General courses.The successful applicant should possess a sound understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum. Applicants will ideally have the necessary knowledge, skills, and understanding to prepare students for NAPLAN and OLNA. We are seeking an applicant who has proven abilities in program planning and instructional practice to facilitate improved student outcomes.The successful applicant should be able to provide engaging, relevant, and meaningful learning experiences. The learning environment you create should be differentiated, challenging, caring and creative, while catering for a range of needs that sees all students progressing and achieving. Additionally, the successful applicant will ideally be able to utilise evidence-based teaching practices whilst employing a range of assessment and reporting methods.You will ideally support the implementation of the school business plan, work and teach in a team environment, and be committed to whole school approaches and initiatives. The successful applicant should be able to build and maintain a positive learning environment therefore effective classroom management is critical to this role.
