Overview

The Opportunity - We are seeking an IT Support Officer to provide technical assistance and support across the organisation. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, maintain systems and networks, and ensure IT services run smoothly.

You will also assist with system upgrades, user training, and documentation, contributing to the efficiency, security, and reliability of our technology infrastructure. Join a collaborative team and play a key role in supporting technology that drives TAMS’ operations across multiple sites, including vessels and remote locations.

Key Duties

- End-User Support: Provide front-line IT support via phone, email, and web portal, aiming for first-call resolution.
- Prioritise and escalate support requests to internal or external personnel as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including installations, upgrades, backups, and configurations.
- Systems & Infrastructure: Maintain IT asset inventory, tracking workstations, monitors, printers, and peripherals.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including system setup, user access provisioning, and account deactivation.
- Contribute to IT projects and initiatives, including rollouts, upgrades, and audits.
- Liaise with external IT providers for procurement, service support, and warranty matters.
- Conduct site and vessel visits to set up or service IT equipment, following all safety protocols.

Key Requirements

- Certificate III or IV in Information Technology, or equivalent industry qualification.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar IT support role.
- Proficiency in Windows OS, Office 365 (including Share Point, Teams, One Drive), and common desktop applications.
- Experience with Windows Server 2016+ and Active Directory.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
- Proficient in Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, Autopatch, and related technologies.
- Experience with Apple iOS devices (iPhone, iPad) and Apple MDM device management.
- Experience supporting networking equipment and technologies, including routers, firewalls, access points, network security cameras, NAS devices, and print servers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Strong organisational, multi-tasking, and prioritising skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals.
- Experience supporting cloud environments, including Azure AD and Microsoft 365.
- Exposure to marine, construction, or project-based environments.
- Familiarity with remote support tools and endpoint management systems.
