What You'll Be Doing
The midwife is a responsible and accountable professional who works in partnership with women to provide the necessary support, care and advice during pregnancy, labour and the postpartum period, to conduct births on the midwife's own responsibility and to provide care for the newborn and the infant.

Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is a major health service for south-western Sydney, offering a wide range of services including critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care, and brain injury rehabilitation. The hospital is a teaching facility for UNSW Sydney and Western Sydney University, with 23 operating theatres and 877 beds. The ongoing redevelopment as part of the Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct aims to transform the hospital into a global hub for medical innovation.
