* Clerk Grade 9/10 position with a salary range $129,464 - $142,665 per annum plus superannuation
* Ongoing role located in The Rocks, Sydney
About the role
The Senior Audit and Risk Officer plays a central role in leading and shaping Destination NSW's risk management function, ensuring it supports both day-to-day operations and broader organisational objectives. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you will provide practical advice on identifying and managing risk, carry out assessments to uncover gaps and improvement opportunities, and oversee the accuracy and relevance of risk and audit registers. You will also contribute to the delivery of the internal audit program, prepare clear and well-judged reports and briefings, and support the effective running of the Audit and Risk Committee.
This is a hands-on role in a small team of two, offering a wide variety of work and exposure across the organisation. You will take a lead role in the Risk Maturity Uplift Program over the next two years, developing guidance, training and resources to strengthen capability and embed consistent practices. The role suits someone who is comfortable working at pace, able to think on their feet and manage competing priorities, while building strong working relationships and driving continuous improvement in risk and governance practices.

You build effective working relationships and are able to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders to resolve risk and audit matters.
