Description The Disability Empowerment and Support Foundation (DESF) is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as the DESF Area Coordinator in Perth. This position, based in the Perth Area, falls under the Administration department and offers a permanent, full-time opportunity for the right candidate. As the DESF Area Coordinator, you will be responsible for a range of vital tasks essential to the efficient operation of our organisation. Your main responsibilities will include: Coordinating and overseeing all administrative activities within the designated area Managing and supporting support staff members, ensuring their productivity and adherence to organisational policies Developing and implementing strategies to improve operational processes and systems Collaborating with other department heads to ensure seamless coordination across different functional areas Providing regular reports on area performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement Acting as a point of contact between senior management and staff in the designated area Monitoring budgetary constraints within the area and making recommendations for cost-effective improvements Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and laws governing administrative functions Participating in recruitment processes for administrative positions within the area Maintaining accurate records of administrative activities, including but not limited to correspondence, policies, and procedures Desired Skills and Experience Minimum Cert III or IV qualification Proven experience in coordinating and managing administrative tasks within a similar organisation Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple responsibilities Knowledge of disability support services and an understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities Proficient in using office software and databases for data management and reporting purposes Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presenting information to various audiences Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, showing flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment A commitment to promoting empowerment, inclusion, and support for individuals with disabilities Current WA Drivers Licence; NDIS Screen Check DESF is a rapidly growing and developing enterprise.
