About the Company
We are a leading manufacturer of custom metal letterboxes, decorative screens, fencing and gates, wall art, and architectural feature panels. Using advanced waterjet cutting technology, we produce high-quality, durable and visually striking metal products for residential builders, commercial projects, and bespoke design applications. As demand for our custom waterjet‑cut products continues to grow, we are looking for a skilled Full‑Time Waterjet Table Operator to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up, operate and monitor waterjet cutting equipment to cut sheetmetal and other materials to required specifications.
* Interpret drawings, cutting lists, and digital design files to produce accurate components.
* Select appropriate cutting settings, abrasives, and nozzles based on material type and thickness.
* Conduct routine cleaning, inspection, and maintenance of the waterjet table to ensure optimal performance and cut quality.
* Perform sheetmetal work including cutting, folding, shaping, drilling, grinding, or finishing metal components.
* Assemble sheetmetal parts for products such as letterboxes, decorative panels, fencing sections, and gates.
* Assist with welding preparation, material handling, and post‑processing tasks as required.
* Inspect finished components for accuracy, quality, and compliance with project specifications.
* Maintain safe working procedures, ensuring all equipment is operated in accordance with WHS standards.
* Report equipment faults or quality issues and collaborate with the team to resolve them promptly.
* Collaborate with the design and fabrication team to plan production runs and optimise materials.
* Prepare materials, load and unload sheetmetal sheets, and ensure accurate labelling of completed components.
* Contribute to efficient workflow in the workshop, supporting various fabrication tasks when not operating the waterjet machine.
Qualifications
* Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or 3 years of relevant experience.
* Strong understanding of sheetmetal properties, fabrication techniques, and workshop processes.
* Competency with measuring tools and fabrication equipment.
* High attention to detail and commitment to producing precise, high‑quality work.
* Understanding of workshop safety and WHS requirements.
Pay
AU$75,000.00 – AU$85,000.00 per year
