The Role
We are seeking an experienced Supervisor to join our team in Karratha Workshop. This is a Karratha Residential based position. In this role you will be responsible for managing resources, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will supervise tradespersons, trade assistants, and apprentices, providing both technical and leadership support. The position requires balancing hands-on hydraulic expertise with workforce planning, customer engagement, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage labour and equipment to achieve optimal utilisation and efficiency
* Supervise and monitor work progress to ensure quality outcomes and timely completion in the Karratha workshop and on shutdowns at the various ports nearby.
* Provide technical hydraulic support, including installation, removal, and live testing of equipment
* Scope, plan, and allocate resources for site jobs in collaboration with the various Project Managers and the workshop team.
* Oversee and complete customer preventative maintenance documentation and service reports
* Contribute to quotes, bids, and tenders through accurate scoping support
* Participate in the after-hours on-call roster, directing calls and supporting urgent jobs
* Build strong client relationships through professional communication and service delivery
* Ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with company safety, quality, and environmental standards
Qualifications & Experience
* Trade qualification (preferably Mechanical) with a minimum of 5 years' trade or supervisory experience
* Demonstrated leadership experience managing a team in the engineering or hydraulics industries
* Strong technical knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and general engineering
* Experience in a hydraulics workshop servicing mining, maritime, or related industries
* Sound understanding of OH&S, Environmental, and EEO legislation
* Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and manpower management skills
* Ability to balance hands-on technical work with workforce and resource planning
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
