About the Role
As the Logistics Manager at Supagas Darwin, you will lead and coordinate daily fleet deliveries from terminals to customers and commercial sites, optimising transport operations across the Northern Territory and Eastern Kimberley. You will develop efficient driver schedules to ensure timely deliveries while meeting customer‐service requirements.
Responsibilities
* Plan and manage daily delivery schedules, ensuring efficient resource allocation and on‐time performance.
* Monitor transport costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency while maintaining budget targets.
* Oversee driver performance, including training, compliance, and coaching (e.g. DriveCam reviews).
* Ensure compliance with safety standards, including fatigue management, load limits, and safe work practices.
* Maintain fleet reliability by coordinating servicing, inspections and maintenance.
* Manage customer delivery data, resolve issues and respond to enquiries in a timely manner.
* Support branch operations, including inventory management, planning and cross‐functional collaboration.
* Support stock control processes and ensure accuracy between yard and delivery records.
* Drive operational efficiency, cost control (including third‐party transport) and forward planning for growth.
Qualifications and Skills
* Prior experience in scheduling or the transport industry.
* Intermediate computer literacy.
* Precise attention to detail.
* Good understanding of Basic Fatigue Management (BFM).
* Ability to handle changing situations under pressure and make optimal logistic decisions.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, engage with all levels across the business, and work collaboratively within teams.
* Well‐organized, able to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.
* Ability to think strategically and commercially, with both a creative and analytical approach.
* Adaptability and flexibility to staffing plans and schedules.
* Approachability and accessibility, with a willingness to support and guide team members.
