Moriah College is a co‐educational Early Learning - Year 12 Jewish Day School based in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. The College has earned an outstanding reputation for academic excellence complimented by dynamic co‐ and extra‐curricular programs.

Commencing Term 3 2026, Moriah College invites engaging, experienced professionals to join its dynamic, collegial, and high performing English faculty. This is a full time permanent position teaching Stage 6 HSC English syllabuses.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

* Ability to inspire students to strive for personal excellence while contributing to Moriah College's vibrant culture of academic achievement, curiosity and values.
* Provide high quality, differentiated teaching and learning programs and activities that are contextually relevant, promote independent
* Integrate ICT and digital learning tools.
* Work as a collaborative and reflective member of the Faculty
* Participate in the Co‐Curricular life of the College
* Be committed to ongoing professional learning.

Experience Required

* Proven track record of teaching Stage 6 HSC English
* NESA accreditation to teach in your relevant field
* Valid Working with Children Check
* Current First Aid and CPR certification
* Have relevant teaching experience in a High School setting with a passion for learning and teaching
* Have demonstrated experience in implementing educational best practice within their subject area
* Possess well developed interpersonal skills
* A strong work ethic, displaying determination, self‐motivation and curiosity

Qualifications Summary

* Must be an Australian Citizen/Resident or hold a current Australian Work Visa.
* All appointments will be based on merit selection without reference to the religion of applicants.
* An empathy with the Modern Orthodox Jewish Day School ethos is essential.
* The school is committed to a child‐safe environment with child protection, safety and wellbeing as a priority.
