We have an exciting opportunity for a Rail Safety Manager to join the North Western Program Alliance (NWPA) to support ongoing works as part of the Level Crossing Removal Project Portfolio. In this role you will have governance and oversight to facilitate continuous improvement in all aspects of rail safety management and compliance. You'll implement and audit process and interface between ARO's in accordance to National Rail Safety Laws, PTC 1994 Book of rules and operating procedures.

This is a full-time opportunity predominately based on the Sunshine Superhub Project and supporting other different sites working across the North Western Program Alliance.

Key Responsibilities
* You'll develop, rollout and monitoring of the project-specific Safeworking Framework that is tailored and scalable to all Projects
* Provision of advice on all matters relating to Safeworking across multiple AROs.
* You'll be representing Metro on rail safety matters throughout the project lifecycle during development, delivery and completion
* Provide interpretation on the Safeworking worksite protection rules
* You'll provide tailored advice on requirements and make recommendations on Project sites
* Be a key interface across external and internal stakeholders such as VLine, ARTC, contractors and Alliance partners
Qualifications
* Qualified as a Level 3.3 Track Force Protection Co-ordinator (V/Line Network required).
* Have sound knowledge of the PTC 1994 Book of Rules and Operating Procedures, as it applies to the MTM & V/Line Network is essential
* Strong understanding of the TA20 Network Rules as applies to the ARTC Network.
* Ability to collect, analyse and present workplace data and information
* Communicate with influence with a range of different stakeholders across a multidisciplinary organisation
* Have an understanding of occupational health, safety and environmental procedures in the rail industry
