We aregearing up for an exciting new phase, and we're looking for talent who ASPIRE to grow their careers at our Laverton Gold Operations. Seeking an experienced Senior Mine Geologist- Open Pit to join and share their talent.
In the role you will coordinate the mine geology function on an operational and technical level on a short-to-medium term horizon. This requires a thorough understanding of the local mine geology and mining processes, as well as detailed knowledge of drilling, sampling and data management. You will require strong team management skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, prioritise work and allocate resources accordingly to meet team objectives.
As the Senior Geologist, you will be the area owner for your panel at the mine and must be able to exercise good judgement and to operate with a high degree of autonomy across a range of technical, safety and administrative functions.
The Opportunity:
* Contribution to the medium-term mine planning function, including 3-month schedules, drill planning, geological interpretation and resource estimation.
* Ensure the quality of geological data collection for downstream resource and reconciliation functions.
* Develop, implement and maintain systems and processes to streamline workflows
* Conduct routine grade control estimations and updates.
* Provide support for administrative functions (accruals, costs, site entry, inventory)
* Lead a dynamic team of open pit geologists and technicians
* Contribute to the long-term strategic objectives of the department, mine and company

* Bachelor Of Science (Geology Major)
* Strong demonstrated mine geology experience in gold
* Past supervisory experience
* Experience in OP mine, preferably gold
