The opportunity
The IT Support & Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the availability and performance of IT support and operational services. It is expected that the IT Support & Operations Manager will work as a partner with executives and senior managers across GMCT to provide high quality and tailored IT advice and service. This role requires excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, problem solving ability with a high degree of familiarity with current and emerging technologies, practices and strategies.

One PTO (Personal Time Off) per month
Location: Fawkner
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead, mentor, and manage the IT Support & Operations team, focusing on performance management, staff development, and capability planning.
Foster a collaborative, customer-focused environment, promoting skill development and accountability.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to support team growth.
Oversee the delivery of all IT services including infrastructure, audiovisual, telecommunications, security, data backup, and disaster recovery.
Develop and implement processes aligned with ITIL best practices.
Manage incident and problem resolution efficiently.
Act as the main contact for IT support, ensuring effective communication with users and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with IT policies and processes.
Provide strategic leadership in IT service development, integrating with governance and architecture.
Qualifications and experience required:
Proven leadership and team development skills.
Experience managing IT support operations with ITIL-aligned processes.
Strong technical background in system administration and enterprise IT environments.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Resource planning and risk management experience.
