Nest Newborn Clinic at Gold Coast Private Hospital is seeking a second neonatologist to join our dual-consultant model.
Well-established private neonatology roles are unusual in Australia – this is a rare chance to step into a ready-made position that is clinically stimulating, financially rewarding, and built with lifestyle balance in mind.
Working alongside the founding neonatologist, you'll share the care of newborns within a modern Special Care Nursery and maternity service, supported by an experienced nursing team, a well-established and growing obstetric referral base, and a fully developed private practice infrastructure.
Nest is proud to be the first private neonatology clinic of its kind on the Gold Coast.
What you’ll be doing
* Providing high-quality, family-centred care for newborns >31 weeks and >1250g, including advanced clinical capabilities such as CPAP, LISA/MIST and peripheral PN
* Leading antenatal consultations and structured follow-up reviews at 6 weeks, 4 months and 6 months
* Sharing inpatient rounds and on-call duties in an alternating roster, with built-in cover for leave and family commitments
* Collaborating with obstetric and midwifery colleagues to deliver seamless perinatal care
* Contributing to service growth, education, quality improvement and research in a pioneering private neonatal setting
* FRACP (Neonatal–Perinatal Medicine). Clinicians with dual training in general paediatrics would be particularly well-suited
* AHPRA specialist registration and eligible for Gold Coast Private credentialling
* Collegial, kind and family-centred approach to patient care
* Interest in building a long-term neonatal service in partnership with a like-minded colleague
