SPC CASUAL FORKLIFT OPERATOR
2026 SEASON
SPC is an iconic food manufacturer with a 100-year commitment to playing a positive role in the Australian economy and manufacturing industry. Our manufacturing and distribution site located in Shepparton in Victoria's beautiful Goulburn Valley region.
Each year SPC offers Casual Forklift Operator positions during the peak fruit processing season. The availability and duration of the work is dictated by crop harvests, which means there may be times when the work is plentiful and times when there may be fewer shifts, however, when rostered on, employees are required to work 8-hour shifts, and this can at times be up to 7 days a week in the peak of the season. The peak season work typically commences late December/early January and continues through to April.
Our Shifts Include
* Day Shift (7:00am – 3:00pm)
* Afternoon Shift (3:00pm – 11:00pm)
* Night Shift (11:00pm – 7:00am)
Although there are more work opportunities if you are available across all shifts, you can select your preferred shift.
SPC is seeking experienced forklift drivers to operate various forklifts in the 2025/2026 season.
Roles May Include
* Lift and shift product on pallets and in bins
* Use of attachments
* Cool rooms
* Storage
* Order picking
* Truck loading/unloading
* Warehousing activities
The Successful Candidates Must Have
* Current License to perform high risk work (LF)
* 2+ years' workplace experience in forklift operations preferred
* Experience in RF scanning an advantage
* Experience in electric forklifts, single and/or double deep reach is highly valued
Other Points For You To Consider Are That
* There is no guarantee of a set number of hours you will be offered each week
* It is summer and it gets quite hot with the cookers preserving the fruit (SPC caters for these hot conditions by providing electrolytes, extra breaks and industrial fans)
* You will be working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
As Part Of Our Recruitment And Selection Process SPC Requires All NEW Casual Forklift Operator Employees To Participate And Successfully Complete The Following Activities
* Interview

* Face-to-face Induction & Factory Tour
* SPC Forklift Training & Assessment
