ABOUT THE ROLE
Norton Gold Fields is expanding its underground operations and is looking for an experienced Underground Nipper to join our new underground mine commencing in early 2025. This project is a convenient 30-minute drive from Kalgoorlie.
As an Underground Nipper, you will provide safe and efficient underground mining operations with assistance and supplying materials to work areas in support of Underground mining crews. Your work will encompass health and safety tasks and various assisting tasks to support underground mining activities including delivering consumables and materials, transporting personnel, housekeeping, and general duties underground.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Collaborate with Underground Shift Supervisor and cross shift operator for smooth equipment handovers.
* Ensure timely and proper setup of headings, anticipating needs.
* Remove unused equipment and excess ground support from completed headings.
* Perform thorough pre-start checks on equipment before operation.
* Maintain cleanliness and functionality of light vehicles, promptly reporting defects.
ABOUT YOU
* Current unrestricted "C" Class WA Manual Driver's License (essential)
* Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge of machinery (essential)
* Satisfactory GSDU / NPC clearance (essential)
* Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable)

* $4.8k site allowance per annum.
