**Job Title:** Assistant Accountant
We are seeking a highly skilled Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations and identifying system/process issues impacting financial reporting integrity.
You will be the primary point of contact for all general ledger reconciliation services to designated customer groups (departments) and also responsible for investigating, clearance, and reporting of reconciling items.
The successful candidate will have:
* Tertiary qualifications in fields of business, accounting and/or economics
* Experience of general ledger and bank reconciliations
* Strong understanding of financial systems and processes
* Intermediate knowledge of financial and management accounting theory and practice
* Ability to analyse problems and propose solutions
* Strong team player
* Communication: listening, oral, written
* Intermediate PC skills, particularly Microsoft Excel
* Commercial acumen
* Relationship management
