About the Role
We are seeking a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team as a subcontractor.
This role involves working with participants with complex support needs, including psychosocial disability, to deliver high-quality Positive Behaviour Support in line with NDIS Quality & Safeguards and DCJ requirements.
You will be required to travel for this role. This role requires travel to Bega and surrounds.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and implement person-centred behaviour support plans
· Conduct functional behaviour assessments
· Work collaboratively with participants, families, and stakeholders
· Support the reduction and elimination of restrictive practices
· Maintain high-quality documentation and reporting
· Contribute to a consistent, person-centred and neuro-affirming approach
About You
· Registered or working towards registration for: Core Behaviour Support Practitioner OR Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner (NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission)
· Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, e.g. psychology, social work, teaching and community services, as well as extensive experience supporting people living with a disability
· Experience supporting individuals with complex presentations, including psychosocial disability and children/youth
· Strong understanding of trauma-informed and neuro-affirming practice
· Strong knowledge of restrictive practices frameworks and legislation
· Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
· Able to work autonomously and collaboratively
· Hold a valid Australian drivers license
· Hold current NSW Police Check, WWC and NDIS Workers Check
