About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Welder/ Metal Fabricator (Heavy Vehicles) to join our team in Wagga Wagga. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in the fabrication and assembly of our high-quality trailers.
What you'll be doing:
* Welding and fabricating components for specialised Livestock and Bulk Cargo Transport Equipment
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
* Operating a variety of metalworking equipment, including MIG and TIG welding machines, grinders, and cutting tools
* Preparing and finishing metal components to a high standard
* Collaborating with the production team to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects
* Maintaining a safe and organised work environment
What we're looking for:
* Extensive experience as a welder and metal fabricator, ideally within the heavy vehicle industry
* Strong understanding of welding techniques, including MIG and TIG welding
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
* Proficient in the use of metalworking equipment and tools
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship
* Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication or equivalent qualification
