A05 Superintendent's Representative required for a short-term contract with possible extension - Mackay Based

Our client provides essential building and construction services across North Queensland. They are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Superintendent's Representative to join their busy trades team on a short-term contract with possible extension.
Your new role
As part of the construction team, you'll play a key role in delivering maintenance and large-scale projects across various government-owned assets in Mackay and surrounding regions. Your responsibilities will include:
* Conducting regular site inspections
* Facilitating site meetings in line with standard procedures
* Issuing Variation Orders and assessing contractual claims
* Processing Contractor Requests for Information
* Ensuring Building Act Compliance inspections are completed and documented
* Providing high-level advice to support the Superintendent in dispute resolution
* Implementing contract administration policies and procedures
* Ensuring alignment with internal systems and procedures for contract management
* Supporting post-contract performance evaluations for contractor registry requirements
* Communicating effectively with clients and project stakeholders regarding cost, time, and quality matters
* Contributing to the review and enhancement of Quality Assurance procedures
* Upholding employment equity and workplace health and safety standards
What you'll need to succeed
You bring a strong foundation in the building and construction industry, with a solid understanding of Australian standards and a commitment to workplace health and safety.
Your qualifications and experience include:
* Previous experience working as contracts administration, project coordination/management, planner/scheduler or licenced trade professional
* Construction White Card
* Current Driver's Licence
* Ability to interpret drawings and plans
* Strong organisational and scheduling skills
* In-depth knowledge of the Building Code and relevant Australian Standards
* Excellent computer literacy and administrative capabilities
* Experience in planning labour requirements and work schedules
* Proven leadership and supervisory skills

In return, you will have an immediately available, up to 40hr per week contract role, Monday - Friday within the public sector based in Mackay, paying an attractive hourly rate of $68.22 + Super - you will work in a well-established, friendly, and fast-paced team and your contribution will be valued in the ongoing success of this busy department.
