To continue our success, we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lab Technician to join our Quaker Oats team.
This role involves analyzing oat production samples against product specifications, releasing compliant products to market, and supporting the quality team.
Details:
* Location: Forrestfield (WA)
* On-the-job training for the first 2-4 weeks
* Training: Day Shift (Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm)
* Rotating roster after training: Week 1: 2pm - 10pm / Week 2: 10pm – 6am
* Monday to Friday
* Position: Permanent Full Time

Responsibilities:
* Collect samples for sensory evaluation, compliance testing, and analysis
* Act on out-of-specification results for non-compliant products as per procedure
* Check calibrations and maintenance of analytical equipment in-line, laboratory, and production areas
* Perform quality audits and safety inspections to ensure adherence to FSSC and AIBI standards
* Engage with internal stakeholders to troubleshoot and prevent non-compliance; manage laboratory waste and systems
* Comply with all PepsiCo policies to ensure high-quality food production
Qualifications:
* Qualifications in Food Science and Technology and/or Certificate in Laboratory Techniques preferred but not essential
* Experience in food manufacturing or laboratory environment (grain industry) desirable but not essential
* Strong communication, attention to detail, and time management skills
* Advanced computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel
