Responsibilities
Implementing and managing advanced security systems such as firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection, and proxies.
Integrating and maintaining security tools across on-premises and cloud platforms.
Conducting risk assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management activities.
Ensuring compliance with ACSC Essential 8, ASD ISM, and other governance standards.
Embedding security into applications and cloud environments through the development lifecycle.
Supporting Security Analysts to strengthen overall SOC capability and be the escalation point of contact.
Collaborating with IT, network, and development teams to deliver secure, resilient solutions.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of Serco's cybersecurity governance framework.
Qualifications
Cloud Security Certifications are required.
Experience with Network Identity and Access Management tools is highly desirable.
Certifications in security toolsets are preferred.
ITIL Foundation Certification and/or CCNA Security — preferred.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
Deep understanding of firewalls, SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection technologies.
Experience in information security, vulnerability management, and risk assessments.
Strong understanding of governance frameworks, NIST 2.0 CSF, ASD ISM, ACSC Essential 8, ISO*****.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and support on-call operations as required.
