The role
ALS Geochemistry is seeking an Experienced Logistics Assistant to join our Logistics team in Kalgoorlie. This full-time position involves working both in our warehouse and external laydown yards, reporting directly to the Section Supervisor Logistics.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate the retrieval of samples as per client requests
* Arrange shipping of samples between various sites, including online bookings with courier companies
* Wrap and strap pallets for load-out
* Maintain accurate records for incoming and outgoing samples
* Maintain storage yards and areas
* Perform general housekeeping duties
* Carry out general warehouse duties
* Operate a forklift for loading and unloading trucks, as required
* Conduct stocktakes and manage stock levels at the Kalgoorlie facility
* Assist with sample returns or disposal in accordance with client agreements
* Delegate instructions to logistics team members as required
Roster Options
* Monday to Friday: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm
* Monday to Friday: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

* Previous warehouse experience (highly regarded)
* Ability to work in a high-throughput, client-focused environment
* Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong teamwork skills
* Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
* Flexibility to cross-train and adapt to workflow fluctuations and team absences
