As a Senior Technical Writer, you'll be the key voice of clarity in a complex, highly-technical product space.
Your responsibilities include crafting and maintaining high-quality documentation and learning resources—from quickstart guides to advanced API walkthroughs and real-world use cases—making n8n approachable and empowering developers and technical users.

Write and ship user-centered documentation, from quickstart guides to advanced API walkthroughs and real-world use cases.
Collaborate with Engineering, Product, DevRel, and Support to ensure docs answer the right questions at the right time.
Bring clarity and accessibility to complex technical concepts, empowering developers to self-serve.
Continuously improve the docs experience, identifying gaps, proposing enhancements, and iterating based on feedback.
Elevate the voice and tone of n8n docs: clear, helpful, and friendly—no jargon, no fluff.
Support our community of contributors by reviewing submissions and making it easy to collaborate on high-quality content.
Must-have
5+ years creating technical documentation for developer-facing products.
Experience with Docs-as-Code workflows, using tools like Git, Markdown, and static site generators.
Comfort diving into technical concepts—APIs, JavaScript, JSON—and exploring tools like n8n hands-on.
Proven ability to write with structure and clarity while keeping tone warm and accessible.
Strong understanding of how documentation impacts adoption, engagement, and developer experience.
Nice-to-have
Background in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.
Active coding experience.
Prior experience working in open-source or with developer communities.
Familiarity with workflow automation tools or low-code platforms.
